Well, when it rains it pours. That’s how the saying goes, right? It certainly has been raining work here at Susgrainable. Minor oversight on our end combining our online shop launch with our first full weekend of summer markets, oops! Thankfully, we have an amazing team here at Susgrainable driven by our mission to fight food waste and provide you with the best baked goods possible. So, after a brief rest (one night off counts, right?) let’s get to the important updates.
It was great to see so many returning faces at Ambleside, Riley Park and Burnaby Farmers’ Markets these past few weeks. It had been far too long since we last saw you! Also, very much looking forward to returning to Squamish Farmers’ Market this Saturday May 16th. To keep up to date on our market schedule visit our website under the Find Us – Markets tab.
Following our website launch a few weeks ago, our online shop went live this past Friday. On time, as per the countdown timer. Huge KUDOS goes out to Clinton for building this entire site out (along with many stress tests conducted) to get the site launched on time. Please do reach out if anything isn’t working right for you, and we’ll make sure to take a look.
Speaking of online shop, if you’ve visited you may have noticed a special promotion for the first few weeks. We are featuring no delivery minimums until May 23rd. Make sure to take advantage and order before May 23rd to take advantage of the offer before $50 minimums kick in.
The feedback from our bread launch has been rolling in, and it seems that our early purchasers are really liking the bread. Here are a few recent one’s we’ve received:
“Hey there! I got your rosemary focaccia yesterday. It was the biggest hit on the charcuterie tray I made. Just wanted to let you guys know” - E, Vancouver
“…that focaccia was the bomb! My husband loved it too and he’s a picky eater, haha. I’ll probably be placing another order with you guys for next week!” - K, Vancouver
Thank you so much for these kind comments and please keep them coming! We love reading them and they are especially enjoyed by our Head Baker Bruno. He’s definitely been another All-Star keeping the quality at the highest standard while quantities continue to increase.
Those are the major developments on our end in the last few weeks. Moving forward, we are going to be pursuing new packaging options for our baking mixes and flours. We have spent over a year researching packaging options and are excited to have you join us on this next step in our journey. We’re also excited to introduce some new team members joining Susgrainable for the summer and an upcoming Instagram contest. If you’re not yet following, join up for your chance to win!
